Every project is unique - and we treat it that way

We offer a creative, tailored approach to help bring your vision to life, no matter the scale or complexity.
With years of experience across both artistic and technical disciplines, we’ve developed a unique blend of creativity, aesthetic instinct, and hands-on know-how.

We also own and operate Disguise and Pixera media servers, giving us the flexibility to provide robust, professional-grade playback solutions as part of our offering.

Collaboration is second nature to us — we’re just as comfortable jumping in at the earliest stages of an idea as we are joining a project already in motion.

A bit about Vent Media

Vent Media is the creative home of digital artist and designer Barret Hodgson.

Barret’s journey into visual media began in the mid-90s, projecting montages of original and found footage at parties while studying Fine Art in Newcastle. Alongside oil painting, filmmaking, and graphic design, he developed a distinctive style that soon made waves in underground culture — leading to live visual work with artists like Ghostface Killah, Fatboy Slim, DJ Yoda, and Roni Size.

As digital media evolved, so did his approach. Transferring his vast archive of visual material to digital formats, Barret began experimenting with new techniques that pushed the boundaries of audience experience. His instinct for combining visuals with sound, space, and atmosphere evolved into a powerful, immersive practice — shaped by years of crafting transformative environments for music, events, and beyond.

With a passion for both craft and collaboration, Barret blends a deep artistic vocabulary with the latest in digital technology. Through Vent Media, he works with a wide range of creative professionals — joining projects at any stage, from the spark of an idea to the final flourish — helping bring ambitious concepts to life.

His practice now spans theatre, dance, music, art installations, and public commissions, with work shown across the UK and internationally in cities including London, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Venice, and Sydney.
