About Barret
My journey into visual media began in the mid-1990s while studying Fine Art in Newcastle, projecting montages of original and found footage at clubs, parties and live events.
Alongside oil painting, filmmaking and graphic design, I developed a visual practice that found an audience within underground music culture. This led to performing visuals at events featuring artists including Ghostface Killah, Fatboy Slim, DJ Yoda and Roni Size.

As digital technology developed, so did my practice. What began with projected film and video evolved into a broader exploration of digital media, combining moving image, real-time content, projection mapping and interactive technologies.
Today my work spans theatre, dance, music, installations and public spaces, with projects presented throughout the UK and internationally, including London, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Venice and Sydney.
